A
blade runner tries to solve a mystery with the help of Rick Deckard, a retired LAPD blade runner. After watching the first Blade Runner, I was very confused and had to watch it a couple of times to see if I liked it or not. Now I think it’s a great movie with a lot of questions. With this new sequel, I can definitely say that I love it better than the first. The visuals are beautiful, the cast does so well, and the action is jaw dropping. It takes awhile for the film to build up and it’s a very long movie but worth it. Ryan Gosling carries the whole film perfectly. It takes awhile to see Harrison Ford’s Deckard but when he comes on screen, it’s great. The film shows how much time has changed from the world as we first saw it to now. It’s a different atmosphere with a much more darker tone. This violence is not as bad as you would think cause of its R rating. They never linger on blood or anything too graphic for too long. Don’t get me wrong though; there are a lot of hand to hand combat scenes with shootouts but not what you would expect. I highly recommend everyone to check this film out. It’s stunning in 3D! Verdict: 9.5.
